Vaccine antibody test:
a smart way to protect your pet

Is it necessary to vaccinate my dog and cat?

Vaccines are essential to protecting our pets from serious diseases, but did you know that it's not always necessary to follow a fixed vaccination schedule ? Each animal has a unique immune system, and the protection provided by vaccines may last longer than previously thought.

With VacciCheck antibody titer tests , you can determine whether your pet really needs a new vaccination.

What are vaccine tests?

They are blood tests that allow measuring antibody levels against diseases such as

- distemper , infectious hepatitis and parvovirus in dogs and

- panleukopenia , herpesvirus and calicivirus in cats .

With just a drop of blood and in about 30 minutes, we obtain a clear and reliable answer as to whether vaccination is necessary or, on the contrary, whether the animal is protected.

When to do it?

The test is recommended before any booster vaccination and can be performed from 6 weeks of age.

It is especially useful in:

  • Puppies , to see if they still have antibodies from their mother or at the end of the vaccination cycle to check if it has been effective

  • Adult pets , to avoid overvaccination

  • Animals with chronic diseases , cancer or immunological problems to avoid further compromising their immune system and generating adverse effects

RECOMMENDED BY THE WSAVA

The World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) recommends the use of these tests to personalize vaccination. Its international guidelines help veterinarians around the world make science-based decisions and avoid overvaccination.
